Nectarine

This variety is obtained by grafting plums on peach trees. With no fuzz, this fruit has a darker colour and is sweeter than peach. It is rich in vitamin C, full of fibre, non-fatty, and juicy. It has about 150 varieties. Growing conditions are similar to peach, its close relative.

If desired to grow healthy, it needs sandy, clayish, gravelly, and quick-heating soil. The most suitable time for planting is autumn. Just like peach, planting may be done in spring as well in regions where winter months are colder. It needs more pruning compared to other fruit trees. The reason for this is that the fruit grows on one-year-old branches. If you want a regular yield every year, shoots need to be in sufficient numbers.
