Eureka

Eureka has assorted varieties. Citrus x Lemon was first developed in California in 1858 from CV seeds. “Lunario” from the Italian peninsula. This variety is grown in California, Argentine, South Africa, Israel, and Australia the most and has the largest growing area among other varieties.

This lemon variety has a medium-sized, oval shape, bright yellow colour when ripe, and a short neck at the pedicel region. The medium-thick rind has tiny specks containing glands carrying volatile oils, and it has a smooth or slightly rough surface.
